Summer Palace

There’s really not much that I can say about the Summer Palace. I highly recommend that you do a Google on the Summer Palace in Beijing. It’s incredibly beautiful. We did a tremendous amount of walking there and it was really fun to see so many people walking on the frozen lake that the palace overlooks. I can only imagine how beautiful it must be in the summer with the boats operating and beautiful flowers everywhere. I’m sure the information you find on line will be really cool to read through.

Following our visit to the Summer Palace we hit the markets for what would turn out to be our last shopping trip and ate our last Chinese food in China. The traditional hot pot experience was fun, and we savored each bite of lovely fresh and affordable veggies we could cram in.

We gathered some girls together when we returned to the Hostel and ventured out for our last night in Beijing. We returned to the New Black Sun Bar and had a couple quick cocktails and then three of us ventured to the Salsa club that almost lured us away when we made our first search for South Bar Street. They were advertising African Dance. What it turned out to be was a couple of African DJ’s playing awesome dance tunes with a large screen video in the background showing cheesy 1980’s African music videos.

We went home early to try and rest up for our last minute outings the next day and packed our bags to go home.

Here are a couple of links to Summer Palace information that I found, I encourage you to check these out or find some more of your own.
